As I understand it, the Gilat 360 satellite "modem" doesn't talk TCP/IP, it talks its own thang over the ethernet (or USB) connection to a PC, then there's a wadge of software loaded on the PC to talk to the satellite "modem" :(
the Gilat 360e (which BT sell as the Satellite Broadband 500/4 product) talks TCP/IP over its ethernet port so can be used with a router quite normally.
