who moved my cheese?

Here I sit, pouring over datasheets, laying out circuits & writing firmware, trying to ignore the bad things in the world that clamour in my head ; Iraq, Bush, Blair, Saddam, Oil, principles, lying evil bastards, elitist western society plundering of world resources, The Military Industrial Complex, my inability to make any positive change to our lot.

Wish Our Illustrious Leaders (all current participents) Mothers would come along, grab them all by the ears and haul them off home for a good telling off, grow up boys, don't do it again. And some jam butties to show them there is a better way.

Time to turn the tunes up and zone out. I'm better off fettling bits & PLDs and pretending everythings just peachy keen.

my company got paid for some work it did (8051 firmware), so it splashed out on some new hardware (analyists advise spending on R&D during a recession, so my company has done just that :) Asus P4G8X/delux motherboard, 2GB of DDR DRAM, 200Gb HDD, Gainward twinhead 8X AGP card, another 17" LCD panel for twin headed goodness, and a USB 6in1 card reader. Also due to get in today or tomorrow a 2nd user HP model 9000 B1000 and a 715/100 to do some HP-UX tweaking.

The office now smells nicely of new tech. Yum. Wonder if I can get the smell in a can (like New Car smell).

Oh, and the Gainward AGP card is a lovley shade of PINK!
