Kindle troubles
Oct. 16th, 2010 01:51 pmOops, poor new Kindle. It's been behaving strangely since games evening on thursday when folks were swearing at it's crap UI and web browser : I don't object too strenuously to it's other features as it a fooking brilliant e-ink screen and is a wonderful ebook device. So what if it's other features aren't great yet. Mind, they do need to sort the indexing /filing of ones books out with a decent hierarchial filing system....
It wouldn't switch on yesterday, till various fiddling with slidey power switch seemed to have got it out of being stuck in the (experimental) web browser, but today whilst reading my book it locked up, not responding to next page or any key, displaying a rotatingy arrow top left.
Quick google for "how to reset a kindle" reveals holding the power slidey switch on for 30 seconds. This seems to have done the trick, a 30 sec or so Kindle startup sequence and I'm back to reading Iron Sunrise, yay.
