struck again. Yesteray I had mentioned how good my Viking steel kneelie chair was, two years service from it and still going well compared to the previous shitty wooden chairs which broke within 4 months of purchase.
Of course it broke on me today ; fortunatly as I was standing up - cast metal thingy at top of the gaslift sheared in half from a round bar it connected to. New one on order with Viking (60 quid or so, so still a bargain at 30quid/year for very comfortable chair)
May now have to go spend several hundred quid on an arc welder to fix up the old chair though :)

Date: 2003-02-28 01:05 pm (UTC)I've got to agree about steel kneely chairs. I'm sitting on one right now :) I'm sure mine didn't cost as much as that, though -- it was more like £45, from Staples in Crawley...
I keep meaning to ask work to get me one for there. So much more comfy than the chairs we have in the office...
