I like the new VAXen that's joined the DECherd here at Chateaux Wedges. Another cabinet in the style of the BA213 MicroVAX3800 I already had. I'll get some pictures of it up somewhere soon. The cabinet has castors (uni directional - currently), and is 540mil wide, 450mil deep & 700mil high. I should mod them and add a towbar coupling so I could have a train of DECcabs, with a nice little steam engine pulling them around. Called Ivor, natch.

Getting power to the VAXen might be difficult, perhaps a battery carrige & invertor after the steam engine. Comms, no problem, DECnet them together & plonk an Apple Airport on it (on the comms carriage of course).

Before you know it, I'll have them all underground with an escaped Mind hiding in the Command and Control trains & have a Culture team sent in to try to save it...

I once played Doom on an Apricot VX server - a 3' tall fridge-shaped box with a motorized door and integral BFO UPS, which was, at the time, being pushed along a long office corridor by my boss. Who was giggling. My wheelie-chair was being pushed along by a colleague. In fact, I think we were all giggling... (Powering its own 14" colour SVGA monitor, too. Good machine. I think we'd just spent some hours coaxcing SCO UNIX onto the thing and finally had it working...
