Evesham Technology Ltd

are a bunch of spamming bastards, so don't buy anything from them, ever (I've not purchased anything from them, nor will I) And tell your friends and colleagues not to buy from them either. Go to Dabs or Scan or any one of a number of decent online retailers, who don't send out unsolicited commercial email.

(I ignored them the first time they spammed me a bit ago. Just had another spam from them (at netbsd-vax address at Demon, they have got that from buying a spammers list. Not anything opt in or requesting mail from them - as if I would.))

Are they breaking UK law yet, by doing so?

It sort of will be from the 11th of December: BBC Web site article. Of course it won't make any difference to the number (50 or so a day) of shite messages I receive from overseas.... :-(

Funny, about 10 years ago (and more) I used to think Evesham were good (my school baught a load of kit from them and were very happy) but then they seemed to fade away. Last dieing gasps?

I bought a server from Evesham, mainly because Dell had fucked us around... they were VERY helpful and quick to deliver the product we needed... much quicker and more helpful than Dell, who took 4 months of constant nagging and a shitty e-mail to their VP of European sales before we recieved a refund for a £3,500 server we never recieved.

Scan have a history of absolutely terrible customer service... although it seems to have improved with time.

Dabs are great, they even sent us a load of free mugs.

However, Dabs and Scan are targetting completely different markets to Evesham

WOC

My company are very addicted to World of Computers. My boss tried some other local Cambridge suppliers, but some of them took over a month just for a quote.

WOC aren't the cheepest, but if there is a problem we know where they live!
