blimey, don't loose your car keys, a replacement may cost 25 quid! (vauxhall astra. apparently has a chip in it that the immoboliser verifies to check that you are you and you have the right key)
expensive things, these cars. or is it expensive things, this loosing things & bad memory...

when perlmonger [ahem] mislaid his Discovery key, it cost one hundred and twenty sodding quid to replace, as the alarm system has to be tweaked.

Sams mother has mislaid her keys to the Pajero thing, fortunatly we still have one set. That's apparently going to costa fortune to get the immobliser tweaked if the final set go walkies.

Oh for some form of biometric systems!
