blimey, don't loose your car keys, a replacement may cost 25 quid! (vauxhall astra. apparently has a chip in it that the immoboliser verifies to check that you are you and you have the right key)
expensive things, these cars. or is it expensive things, this loosing things & bad memory...

Serves you right for getting a car that's less than ten years old. ;) I bought two spare keys for my "new" car for, err, so little I've forgotten how much.

Remember when they used to talk about silicon chips geting so cheap they'd be giving them away with your cornflakes?

I didn't even know there was an immobiliser built into the ignition / key!

till I lost the key and needed a new one...
